AROUND THE LANDSCAPE
SeeThe landscape, its metamorphoses, its fragility and power, its colorful daytime diversity, exerts a constantly renewed fascination. The fear of its fury, its natural dissolution, and the modifications wrought by humankind fuel my reflections. This theme remains constant in my work and forms the framework of several of these series.
AN APPROACH TO THE BODY
SeeThe body, reconstructed from the imprint of a torso from behind, is imprinted by ink onto old scraps of torn fabric. Then, as it dissolves, this body inscribes the shadow of what it once was, the ephemeral trace of its passage and its annihilation, and, hesitating on the threshold to be crossed, leaves the viewer to decide its fate.
SIGNS & LETTERS
SeeSigns and letters, punctuation and writing, alphabets, everything that seems to allow a semblance of communication and written transmission intrigues me.
I use all these codes and scramble them, making them construct sorts of landscapes and anthropomorphic figures.
The issue of writing intersects with that of the body and that of landscape.
