• ZINC

For this series, I mainly used pieces of zinc that were part of the "Ma River" installation, back in my studio.

These pieces, reworked sculpturally, or pictorially and of different sizes, form a kind of barricade when placed side by side.

  • INTENTIONALLY

    1996-1998

Drawings made on the same thick Lanaquarelle paper of the same format, 55 x 76 cm.

India ink, pencil and charcoal, some collages.

In this numbered series, the drawings echo each other, and the square shapes open up into ovoid forms.

then they close and gradually disappear.

  • WOOD & IRON

    1981-1987

Paper is mixed with iron and wood.

Plaster sometimes reinforces masses which must however not prevent light from passing through and playing on the surfaces.

Drawings, mainly in pencil and ink.

  • REFLECTION & TRANSPARENCY

Research focuses on the unique inner light of each artwork, but also on the creation of light and its passages through hollowing and plays of reflection.

on materials that are more or less transparent.

SIGNS AND LETTERS

Collection — 4 séries

Signs and letters, punctuation and writing, alphabets, everything that seems

allowing even a semblance of communication and written transmission raises questions for me.

I use all these codes and scramble them, make them build

sorts of landscapes and anthropomorphic figures.

The issue of writing intersects with that of the body and that of landscape.

Pieces of zinc that were part of the "Ma River" installation, reworked sculpturally and pictorially, forming a kind of barricade when joined together.

The drawings respond to each other, and the square shapes open up into ovoid shapes, then close again and gradually disappear...

Paper is combined with iron and wood. Plaster, sometimes, reinforces the masses without preventing light from passing through and playing on the surfaces.
